Concepts Explored: photosynthesis, cellular respiration, energy, the impact of light intensity on net photosynthesis, chlorophyll, rates of change in oxygen and carbon dioxide.
Experiment: In this set of procedures you will determine the net photosynthesis rates for sun-adapted and shade-adapted leaves under both full and low illumination conditions. You will also determine respiration rates for sun-adapted and shade-adapted leaves under zero illumination conditions. This activity will require about two hours.
Please log in to the Table Top Science website, follow the directions for Lab 5 Metabolism, and submit the completed activity form in this assignment folder by the due date posted in the syllabus. Remember to take the required snapshots (screenshots) of your results.
